Baby eyes are always dark, and some do look either black or dark blue. I guess it depends on the light.

It is actually many species of macaws. Blue and golds, green wings, scarlets, blue-throats, red-fronts, etc.

All of them have it I think. Might be different for wild macaws.

You can always spot the young ones by their eyes.
I’ve only seen them as darker.

This 6 month old baby I saw yesterday has the most lovely light blue/grey baby eyes I’ve seen. Nothing like Burt’s at that age.
